¡Las llamas! is an illustration project that was created for a Picture Books course at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Inspired by Eric Carle & Friends: What's Your Favorite Animal? by Eric Carle (published by Henry Holt & Company), students were asked to experiment with a new style or medium, choose a favorite animal, & contribute a spread to a class anthology.

I chose the Peruvian llama, inspired by the vibrant ear tassels, neck ribbons, & woven adornments they wear in the Andes. Learning that llamas belong to the same camelid family as camels added a playful educational layer to the piece. Below is the outcome of the project.
